2. Why we use it
We use personal information where reasonably necessary to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, communicate with clients, deliver and support website services, verify payments, keep appropriate business records, protect our systems, improve our services and comply with legal obligations.
3. Forms, WhatsApp and third parties
Our website may direct you to third-party services such as Typeform and WhatsApp. Information submitted through those services is also subject to the provider's privacy practices. GridLock uses information received for legitimate purposes connected with your enquiry, project or client relationship.
4. Analytics and cookies
GridLock uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use this website, including page views, interactions, device and browser information, and traffic sources. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and may process information outside South Africa. We use analytics information to improve website performance, usability and marketing. You can control or restrict cookies through your browser settings.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers where reasonably necessary to operate GridLock or deliver a project, including hosting, forms, communications, analytics, security and technical providers, or where disclosure is required by law.
6. Cross-border services
Some technology providers may process or store information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, GridLock will take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and handle information in accordance with applicable requirements.
7. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose, appropriate project/business records, or legal, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution and security requirements. Information no longer required should be securely deleted or de-identified where reasonably practicable.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No internet-based system can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion or restriction where legally appropriate. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
10. Marketing
A project enquiry is not treated as indefinite permission for unrelated direct marketing. Where direct marketing is used, GridLock will provide an appropriate opt-out and respect valid opt-out requests.

We may update this policy as GridLock's services, technology or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published with its effective date.
